In our last post, we promised to update you on how to unblock yourself on Whatsapp and here it is.
Normally when you get blocked on Whatsapp, there is no way to get yourself unblocked unless the blocker decides to unblock you, but what if you don’t get unblocked by the blocker? Well, you could still always unblock yourself on Whatsapp and this is what this article is all about. It guides you on how to unblocked yourself on Whatsapp.
Social platforms Facebook, Twitter and top IM Apps all come with the feature to block anyone at anytime. Whatsapp being an Instant Messaging App itself also comes with the block feature.
Females probably use the block feature more, probably you got your yourself blocked 🙈😬 by your crush 😘 on Whatsapp for taking your nasty chat too far 😦 just like it once happened to me. When this happens, you’ll not be able to see their “last time online, profile picture, messages won’t also get delivered” infact just know that all forms of direct communications would seize.
But then, theirs is to block and ours is to unblock 💪. With that said, below are steps to follow to get yourself unblocked when someone blocks you on Whatsapp.
HOW TO UNBLOCK YOURSELF ON WHATSAPP
★ Write down your blocker’s phone number somewhere then delete it from your phone.
★ Back up your chats. Here is how to backup your chats and media files on Whatsapp;
— Open WhatsApp
— Go to Menu Button > Settings > Chats > Chat backup
— Tap Back up to Google Drive and set up the backup frequency to your liking
— You will be prompted to select a Google account that you will back up your chat history to. If you do not have a Google account, tap Add account when prompted. Please remember the Google account you are using for the backup
— Tap Back up over to choose the network you wish to use for backup. Please note that backing up over cellular may result in additional data charges
★ Clear WhatsApp data. To do this, go to your phone settings >> apps >> WhatsApp and clear the data
★ Delete your WhatsApp account. Doing this means you are no longer active on WhatsApp so technically, you cannot block someone who’s not on WhatsApp. Whoever blocks you will no longer have you on the blocked list.
★ Reactivate WhatsApp. Download new Whatsapp, register your number.
★ Restore Chats
— Make sure the same Google account that was used to perform the backup has been added to your phone.
— After verifying your number, you will be prompted to restore your messages and media from Google Drive.
★ After the restoration process is complete, tap Next and your chats will be displayed once initialization is complete
★ After restoring your chats, WhatsApp will begin restoring your media files
★ Re-add contact
Lastly, save the contact you wrote down earlier back on your phone. Now look for the person/contact that blocked you in the first place and send a message.
And that would be all on “how to unblock yourself on Whatsapp”.
